👀 It Recognizes the Art, Then Reads the Card
Your scan is compared against every card face in the game's catalog first, so the scanner knows what the card looks like before it reads a word. When the artwork isn't a clear match, it reads the card itself.
Flesh and Blood
- The code at the bottom pins the card:
MST178,WTR062,1HP282. On older cards the rarity letter after the hyphen (WTR062-C) is dropped automatically. - Pitch is never a guess. Red, yellow and blue versions of a card each have their own number, so the code alone tells Snap Shot (Red) from Snap Shot (Blue).
Union Arena
- The whole code is read, product prefix included:
UE03BT/JJK-1-020, not justJJK-1-020. Only the full code pins the card. - The big stylized name across the art is ignored. The scanner reads the small name plate at the top, not the decorative lettering behind the character.
✋ The Cards We Deliberately Send to Review
A wrong match costs more than a missing one, so these get a second look instead of a guess:
- Same number, different version. Flesh and Blood's Marvel, Extended Art, Treasure and Golden cards share their number with the regular card. So do Union Arena's starred rarities (
R★,SR★★), Box Topper Foils and Release Event versions. You pick the right one from the candidates. - Double-sided Flesh and Blood tokens and heroes are catalogued under both sides' numbers, so they go to review.
- The set is never guessed. Neither game prints the set name on the card, so we match on the name and code. A reprint or promo can't quietly snap to the original printing.
Setting the batch's default rarity before you scan sorts most of the starred Union Arena twins out for you.

eBay listings use your scan as the listing photo, front and back. In your eBay connection settings you can give each game its own store category and description template, just like every other game.
ManaPool and Misprint don't carry these games, and CardNexus doesn't carry Union Arena.
🧾 Still True For Every Game
- English cards, one card per image.
- Condition is a batch default you override per card. We don't read condition off the image.
- Your pricing rules run the moment a card is identified.
- Nothing goes live until you review and commit it.
- Scanning is free and unlimited while it's in open beta.
These two games are brand new to the scanner. Got a card we read wrong? Hit Report misread. It sends us the image and the full match trail, and it's how every game gets tuned.
