Print Size Preferences
Control the exact paper size used for your shipping labels and packing slips—independently, per shipment type. Route content to your thermal and desktop printers automatically.
Overview
Quick Ship lets you independently configure two things for each shipment type (Letter, Flat, Parcel):
Shipping Label Sizes
Choose the paper size Quick Ship uses when generating shipping labels
- 4×6 Thermal — standard thermal label for Letters and Flats
- 9×4 Envelope (PWE) — prints directly onto a plain white envelope or half-sheet paper
- Parcels (USPS Ground Advantage) are always 4×6 and cannot be changed
Packing Slip Sizes
Choose the paper size for the packing slip printed alongside each order
- 4×6 Thermal — compact slip sized to match a thermal label
- 8×11 Standard — full-page slip for desktop / inkjet printers
- Can be set differently for Letters, Flats, and Parcels
Configuring Your Label Sizes
Label size preferences are found in Shipping Settings → Shipping Label Sizes.
How to set your label sizes:
- Go to Shipping Settings
- Find the Shipping Label Sizes card
- Choose your preferred size for Letter and Flat shipments
- Click Save

Configuring Your Packing Slip Sizes
Packing slip sizes are found in Shipping Settings → Packing Slip Sizes. You can set a different size for each shipment type.
How to set your packing slip sizes:
- Go to Shipping Settings
- Find the Packing Slip Sizes card
- Choose your preferred size for Letter, Flat, and Parcel shipments
- Click Save

Choose your desired packing slip size for each label type. If the size is different than your shipping label size you will get separate files so you can send them to different printers.

How Downloads Are Organized
When you click Download Combined, Quick Ship automatically routes each order's packing slip and shipping label into the correct output file based on your preferences.
thermal-4x6.pdf
All 4×6 packing slips and 4×6 shipping labels, interleaved per order. Goes straight to your thermal printer.
standard-8x11.pdf
All 8×11 packing slips, in order. Send this to your desktop or inkjet printer.
envelope-9x4.pdf
All 9×4 envelope labels, in order. Load your envelopes or half-sheet paper and print.
When you get a .zip file
Things to Watch Out For
Mixed sizes always produce a .zip
9×4 labels require correct printer scaling
Packing slip size and label size are independent
Parcel labels and slips are always 4×6
Order sorting is preserved across all files
Common Setups
All Thermal (Default)
One PDF, one printer
Set everything to 4×6 Thermal. You'll always get a single combined PDF with slips and labels interleaved. No zip file, no sorting between printers.
Best for: most sellers
Thermal Labels + 8×11 Slips
Labels go thermal, slips go laser
Set label sizes to 4×6, packing slip sizes to 8×11. You'll get a zip with thermal-4x6.pdf (labels only) and standard-8x11.pdf (slips only).
Best for: sellers with a thermal + laser/inkjet setup
PWE Envelopes for Letters
Print directly onto envelopes
Set the Letter label size to 9×4 Envelope, leave everything else at 4×6. Letters get their own envelope-9x4.pdf; Flats and Parcels continue going to thermal-4x6.pdf.
Best for: sellers shipping lots of PWE singles
Full Desktop Printing
No thermal printer needed
Set all label sizes to 9×4 and all packing slip sizes to 8×11. Both files come in a zip. Print the envelope PDF on half-sheets and the slip PDF on full-sheet paper.
Best for: low-volume sellers without a thermal printer
